This training is designed for workplaces that require their employees to wear respirators. Employers are required to have a written respirator program that describes the proper procedures for selecting and use of respiratory protective equipment. The correct use of a respirator is just as important as selecting the proper respirator.
Topics in this training program include fit testing, the importance of medical evaluations, respirator types, the differences between respirators as well as the donning & doffing, care and use of the respirator. This training is ideal for Leadership, members of the JHSC and employees who wear the respirators. Fit testing of employees can also be integrated into this training if required – which would require additional time.
