The purpose of this training is to provide the basic guidelines for traffic control to be used by persons or agencies performing construction, maintenance, and utility work on any street or highway open tothe public in the Province of Ontario.
Air Transportation of Dangerous Goods is more dangerous by nature, as such it requires a more in-depth approach. Air transport of dangerous goods is governed by the International Air Transporter’s Association (IATA).
There are very specific packaging and documentation requirements. Each shipment is inspected before take-off and may be rejected if not properly prepared causing delays and loss of business. There are some products exempted under the surface(ground) TDG regulations that are fully regulated by air.
